Because of physical limitations we desperately needed a shower that my husband could walk into. We asked Mario Morales to design a walk in shower and put in a higher toilet. We now have a beautifully tiled walk-in shower with a tiled seat just the right height. In the process it was discovered that an unknown long time leak had seeped into the floor and walls... so they needed to put in a new floor and new dry wall. They did it all! Mario's communication and planning skills are great. He worked hard to get the job done quickly and satisfy our need. His staff, Andre and Roman, are extremely hard working and skilled tilers.

Having just completed our extensive bathroom remodel, I am happy to provide this enthusiastic recommendation for CD Kitchens & Bath. We have done a number of remodeling projects over the years and worked with many contractors. Our experience in working with Mario has easily proven to be the most satisfying.

Mario sets himself apart in two important ways. First, he works directly with the customer in all aspects of the project, much of it before a contract is even in place. Other contractors simply don’t want to be involved in some of the more mundane details of the project and as a result, there is less certainty about the outcome. Because of Mario’s extensive involvement, he is able to provide a fixed price contract that includes every element of the project. The customer is not left to their own devices to find and price fixtures, electrical and plumbing work or other details. It is all included, and Mario stands by it!

Secondly, construction projects, by their very nature, come with unexpected challenges. Mario is first class in communicating with the customer and working effectively through these inevitable challenges. We couldn’t be more happy with our new bathroom.

As you know, selecting a reliable contractor can be an unnerving proposition especially in light of the stories that periodically surface in the news media regarding contractors ripping of customers or performing less than stellar workmanship. This process becomes more confusing when selecting contractors from web advertisements or other media advertising (as I did). I must say however that your services were first rate and I would have no reservations about using your services again.

Several areas in the re-modeling process were of particular importance to me and I would like to share my thoughts on your performance:

• Sub-contractor performance: Sub-contractor performance was first class. They showed up at my residence on time and on the day they were scheduled. The work performed by them reflected quality craftsmanship – kudos. I was especially impressed with the finish carpenter’s work
• Schedule performance: You provided a schedule and work was performed on time per the schedule. This was especially pleasing since other contractor’s I have used for other jobs tended to show up on whatever schedule pleased them.
• Personal service: This perhaps was the most impressive part of the entire experience. You spent a significant amount of time with us visiting various vendors even before you were on contract. The time spent showing us what was available in kitchen fixtures, tile and granite really helped make our re-model a success.
• Cabinet Vendor: Your recommendation to use Huntwood cabinets proved to be an excellent choice. We were considering several different brands of cabinets but after visiting the Huntwood showroom, the quality of construction and especially the cabinet finish were exceptional. In addition, the support received from Huntwood in correcting any errors was very timely. As you know, one cabinet was made to the wrong dimensions. Many times, a “re-do” can take several weeks. Huntwood provided a replacement cabinet within 7 days. I also discussed the quality of the cabinets with the finish carpenter who has many years of experience with a lot of different cabinet brands. In his estimation, Huntwood’s is amount the top vendors for production style cabinetry.
• The family pet: While your offer to take our dog Roscoe as partial payment was appreciated we just couldn’t part with him. While most of the time he is a pain in the backside, we have grown very attached to him.
